The surrounding countryside is incredibly beautiful, and East Salling has many beautiful and unspoiled coastline with quiet, child-friendly beaches. Denmark is known for its frequent westerlies, but just along the eastern shores Sallings we often find shelter and good opportunities for hiking in all weather and all year round. It is not unusual that one can observe one or more seals show up with your head above water and keep up with what's happening on the beach - or see them sleeping on the sand banks.
You should indulge yourself with the experience to take the ferry to the island of Fur, also known as the Limfjord beautiful island that lies near the cottage. Ferry crossing takes only 5 min. And suddenly it feels like you are in a completely different world.
