The house stands in a secluded location as a direct single house on a scenic, 3,000 m² island in the lake Pirttijärvi (no bridge connecting the mainland, waterway by boat approximately 600 m). Ilomantsi 27 km north, Joensuu west 65 km. Kaufmann, restaurant and indoor swimming pool 20 km in Tuupovaara. Here also Vekarus nature reserve with hiking trails and good fishing. Good swimming on the gently sloping beach with small jetty about 10 m. Good fishing in the lake, fishing license from the owner (without charge). Rowing boat available. Holiday facilities. Located on the idyllic meadow land with beautiful lake views. Garden furniture, outdoor grill. Parking on the mainland (about 400 meters walk to the shore).

Karelia

Karelia, the easternmost province of western Europe, bounded on the east by Russia, north of Lapland, in the southwest through the Saimaa Lake District.
