The two restored stone houses GIOCONDA (RUF 140) and Torre (RUF 141) are in an idyllic landscape, with views of the wooded hills around us, in the hamlet of San Leolino (1 km). Shops in Londa (4 km, paved road with hairpin turns). Rufina 14 km. Access 1 km over narrow and difficult gravel parking lot at each house. Approx. 3000 m² large terraced hillside property with trees and beautiful natural meadow. The two houses are about 50 m apart and each have their own land share. RUF is one of about 140 a 50 m² large paved courtyard with a furnished patio and a covered dining area. CALL 141 with outdoor seating under a pergola. Each with its own outdoor grill. Approx. 200 m away from the cottages below the hamlet of San Leolino, pool (15.5 x 7.5 m, 12.05.-29.09.) With sun loungers, deck chairs and outdoor shower to share with the guests of other vacation homes, including a holiday house in a completely separate section of RUF 140th Rustic furnishings in Tuscan style. Mostly Ziegelstein-/Holzbalkendecken. Part natural stone walls. Cotto floors, stone floor and 141 in the RUF. CALL 140 with satellite TV and washing machine. Both with gas central heating.


Local service charges: gas, about EUR 4.80 / m³ and electricity, approximately EUR 0.35 / kWh (RUF only 140), after each use. Firewood if required. Resort tax. Small, well-equipped kitchen (4 flames, oven, dishwasher, small freezer, coffee machine) with access to the outside. Bathroom / WC. From the steep stone staircase to the first plank Floor: Living area with double sofa bed. Also from the hallway steep wooden staircase to the first Floor: Double bedroom with access to further double room. Toilet. Note: connecting door between the living room and 1 Double room in the first Bunk.

CALL 141 2-room house 'Torre', 2 floors, approx 45 sqm. Entrance into kitchen (4 flames, oven, coffee machine) with dining area and sofa bed. Shower / WC. Hallway with spiral staircase to the first Floor: Large double room with fireplace, sitting area and exit to the outside via external staircase.

Rufina

The lively center of the eponymous wine region is located in the Sieve Valley, 40 km northeast of Florence (train every 2 hours). In the village shops and supermarket. Weekly market on Saturdays. Many wine stores and wineries invite you to wine tasting. We recommend a visit to the nearby Renaissance villa overlooking the village of Poggio Reale and wine museum. In the last week of September each year the interest in Rufina wine and craft fair 'Bacco Artigiano' instead. Good starting point for excursions to the north of Rufina incipient scenic Mugello and the National Park east of the 'Alpe di San Benedetto' (up to 1658 m).

Tuscany

The special fascination of this unique region of Italy, for centuries the land of longing northern Europeans, is the fullness and the opposition of their natural and cultural attractions. Inland determine gently rolling hills with vines, gnarled, centuries-old olive groves and vast wheat fields of the landscape. Densely wooded mountains invite to hiking and cycling tours to challenging. The multi-faceted coastline offers popular resorts with flat sandy beaches of the Riviera della Versilia, wild, rocky coves and quiet places to swim at Livorno in the untamed southern Maremma. In addition to the vibrant art centers of Florence, Siena, Lucca and Pisa, with magnificent monuments and museums, stunning locations and unique parks there is a small medieval towns, villages and hamlets, with its winding, narrow streets to explore.

FLORENCE AND THE ENVIRONMENT

The capital of Tuscany, the city of Dante and the Medici, year after year, almost magical attraction for millions of visitors. Too numerous to be important churches, palaces, museums, mansions, civic buildings, plazas, parks and gardens, as that would diminish the onslaught. With its many elegant shops in the pedestrian zones Florence is a city for shopping, shows and shopping. 30 minutes by bus north of the city center, on the southern Apennine foothills, lies the suburb of Fiesole. From here you can enjoy a stunning view of Florence, the Arno valley and the hills of Chianti. Also worth seeing are the medieval churches and the excavation site with the ancient theater.
