This well-equipped, built in 2008 holiday house (detached house) is in a wonderful position, approximately 150 m from the lake Økslandsvann. Merchant and restaurant 6 km in the sand. Forde is located 28 km north, Høyanger southeast 34 km. Excursions in the Sognefjord (9 miles) from the lively town or Vadheim Forde. Good hiking terrain, marked trails within 1 km. Bathing at the small sandy beach (about 150 m). Very good fishing in the lake and the fjord. Lakeside 13-foot boat with 2.5 hp engine for hire (NOK 600/week, order). Good, good as new equipment. The owners live in another house. Gravelled terrace with garden furniture and barbecue. Parking at the house.

Winter Sports: Skiing Sunnfjord (36 km) with a lift and 3 runs.

Equipment: electric stove 4 plates, oven, microwave, dishwasher, freezer (approximately 200 l), coffee maker, washing machine. Satellite TV, DVD, Internet access (W-LAN, inclusive). Shower / WC. E-floor heating, wood burning stove. Single beds each 0.75 m wide.

Sognefjord and around

The 200 km long and 1308 m deep Sognefjord is both the longest and the deepest fjord in the world. It extends with its many tributaries and inland borders in the east to the Jotunheimen National Park, Norway's highest mountains (up to 2469 m) with the largest glacier of mainland Europe, the Jostedalsbreen. The still widespread in the West is changing Sognefjord inland to a wild and romantic landscape Fjord, where to dig deep into the mountains and foothills narrow impressive waterfalls plunge into the depths. Between steep banks are occasionally fertile pastures and small typical towns and villages such as Balestrand with artists' spa and luxurious villas from the 19th Century in the Swiss style. Even the old quarter Viksøyri beach in Vik with small wooden houses, gardens and colorful boathouses has retained its unique charm. From Flåm from organized bus, train and boat tours are offered, the 20 km long railway line of the famous Flåm Railway overcomes 863 meters and leads to the stunning waterfalls Rjoandefossen (390 m) and Kjosfossen (225 m) over.

In the outer Sognefjord are thousands of large and small islands, off the busy tourist areas you will find everything to be at sea while fishing in the great outdoors and be comfortable. Between the mainland and larger islands ferries run regularly.

All along the fjord fishermen get their costs, but also this region offers ideal conditions for hikers, mountain bikers and tourists who simply want to relax in this magnificent countryside.

Sunnfjord

As the "Land of the Waterfalls" the Norwegians call the Sunnfjordgebiet that is from the Atlantic, the Dals and Førdefjord and of the prominent peaks of Gaularfjell and the largest mainland glacier in Europe, the Jostedalsbreen limited.

The narrow Dalsfjord and the idyllic Førdefjord Norway are among connoisseurs as a tip for nature lovers seeking peace and quiet. A cruise on the romantic "Fossevegen" with its 18 accessible within an hour's falls is an unforgettable experience that brings closer the tourists and the contrasting landscapes of the great outdoors Sunnfjord. The deeply incised into the mountain lakes Haukedalsvatnet, Viksdalsvatnet, Holsenvatnet Hestadfjorden and among the best trout waters in Norway.
