Holiday Home Rental in Denmark
In Denmark approximately 25.000 holiday homes across the country are available for rent on both short term and long term basis. The vast majority of these is located in beautiful settings often near the spectacular Danish coast line.
Danish holiday homes are typically rented on a weekly basis, and arrival and departure normally take place on Saturdays. In the summer period from 1 April until 31 October a holiday home can be rented in an unlimited number of consecutive weeks. In contrast, in the winter period from 1 November until 31 March a holiday home can only be rented for a maximum of 4 consecutive weeks after which the house must be vacant for one full week.
Many holiday homes can also be rented for weekend stays from Friday to Monday, as well as for short breaks with optional day of arrival. Short breaks must cover 3 to 5 nights stay, and as a general rule short breaks can first be booked 4 weeks before the desired date of arrival.
Today, rental of holiday homes is largely an Internet-based activity. A number of holiday home portals specialise in making a large selection of all types of holiday homes ranging from the very luxurious holiday homes with swimming pool and whirl pool to the more basic Danish holiday homes available online.
These portals allow users to carry out online searches using a broad range of search criteria, and can thus quickly provide a list of holiday homes that match one’s wishes and requirements. For example, one can search for holiday homes that are fitted with a sauna and a wood burning stove, located in a certain geographical area, and available for rent at a certain point in time.
The holiday home portal will then return a list of suitable houses. By clicking on each holiday home, one can find further information about each individual house, and see pictures of it. Once the ideal holiday home has been found, it can be booked directly on the Internet. In this way holiday home portals have made it easy to find and book just the right house for a holiday home vacation in Denmark.
